At One with Nature in a modern environment. Located in Kahale, a mountainous region close to Beirut this relatively small mountain house is the retreat of a young man leading a modern life while maintaining maximum relation with the direct environment. The line of the general volume takes its lead from the level lines of the land. Greeted by a bar with the natural rocks as back of bar, the general program includes one open space for living, dining and kitchen and two bedrooms. On the roof a full entertainment program including a bar, a pool, a dry pool and relevant functions looks like if it was carved in the main thick slab. The house is accessed from on top through long stairs carved in the rocky side of the land. Most of the materials used for tiling and cladding have been picked up from the surroundings.
