Located next to the now famous Nabu museum in Herri Batroun Lebanon, this beach club had to play with its location on one of the most beautiful beaches of Lebanon, next to the Nabu Museum and the existing railway. When we started the plot was completely grey with nothing to show for except a great number of large trees that seem to have lived there for a longtime. Our approach was simple by definition but extremely complex in practice. We wanted to draw an organic beach club, with large structures like pools and restaurants, without cutting or touching any of the existing trees. The trees had the power. everything was drawn around them and in the best way to guarantee there survival. Even the tree in the middle of the restaurant had the power over the concrete, Aluminum and glass. The result was a fantastic soothing environment that seems to take people away from their hectic everyday life.
